I actually think Added Fire Damage Support would ruin the Elemental Equilibrium rota, but I'm not 100% sure.
I'm just saving money and continuing to chase a shaped opal ring myself, the dream is;
+25% Elemental Damage
---------------------
+35% Spell Damage
+55 Intelligence
+79 Life
Can have Multiple Crafted Mods
+20% Armor
Adds 12-22 Cold Damage to Attacks

Can it be, that PoB isn't showing this correctly?
I changed the corruption to +2 earlier but neither Discharge AoE nor Cyclone AoE calculation changed.
Hardly matters tbh, the only relevant corruptions to this build are;

Gloves ~
Curse enemies with X level elemental weakness on hit
or
+1 to Level of Socketed Gems

Amulet ~
+1 to Maximum Resistances
or
Enemies Can Have 1 Additional Curse

If you have those and are just insanely min/max'd overgeared then sure ya I guess but I wouldnt put that much thought into it, for example I have a full collection of 20% lv21 gems, so my cyclone has an additional +1 to range, you dont notice it at all with or without, its just shiney to have.

Just some info update as I get numerous questions about this.


I basically finished my Mjolner Inquisitor build that Im playing in Abyss.

Guide should be up and ready by the end of this week (maybe even tomorrow). I know its a bit late in the league but a) I have limited time to play lately b) I didnt want to rush this one. Instead I took my time with it, to balance it, min-max it to my liking.


This Inquisitor build will be aimed for those who (like me) dont like cyclone as a trigger skill. Lets say more of a "classical" Mjolner approach, with Lightning Strike for packs and Molten strike for Bosses.


This Inquisitor uses Discharge + Arc + Ele Focus and doesnt need to swap gems vs Boss due to my latest findings regarding some mechanics.

Vs Jugg it should provide higher DPS, better clear speed, similar tankiness, different play style.

I have some last things to test out in terms of final build's balance and as soon as Im done Ill start writing to get that guide going.

Note: do not copy or plug into PoB my public Abyss char yet. Passive skill tree and items are more or less "final" but gems are not (I need to do some minor swaping later today, currently im busy at work :P)

I dont think it would mess up Elemental Equilibrium. The corruption is "gems are supported by lvl 12 added fire damage". It seems like it would just support discharge. As long as its not supporting cyclone you should be good with elemental equilibrium.

It shouldnt help your discharge damage at all though. Level 12 Added fire support gives 36% of physical damage as extra fire damage. Discharge does not do physical damage, so this adds no extra damage.
