life/es/eva character? viability, gearing up?

How hard would it be to gear something like this? And what are the problems with running it?

You can probably cut a bunch of points from this:

Otherwise, it looks like a fine hybrid Scorching Ray tree.

Yeah, except I gave up on it due to looking for mid to high eva/es/life/resistances plus chaos resistances (because no CI) on gear. It's a bit much I think.

You don't need to invest into Chaos Res. Chaos Damage from enemies is relatively rare, and the majority of them can be dodged with ease.

Why?

All you need is a couple of hybrid gear pieces with 3 prefixes:
+ life
+ ES
+ % ES/Evasion
...and you'll be fine.

Being hybrid, you can also get away wearing stuff like Atziri's Step, that a CI build wouldn't want to wear.
