*Rant* The thing I hate the most about my career in video games
Apply for a post, go for the interview....
and then get told it is an amazing chance for me to work with them and starting their company.... bla bla bla.... and they ask me to work for free. or stuff like I get a contract offer, ohhh please I need you to make this publicity for me. Pay??? no why??? why would I pay you, you're basically getting free exposure and free publicity. It's a win win... omg this is so disappointing. Last bumped on Mar 3, 2017, 7:27:07 AM

that's why i chose a career path with much less of that BS, doing any type of arts/creative is bs because people expect pro bono work

Yeah sadly you're right. This is such BS. I've been doing this for years already. I'm experienced enough to take on any projects. But nope... people keep telling me to work for free.

Work for yourself. It's a risk but if you're good you're gonna make it.
GGG banning all political discussion shortly after getting acquired by China is a weird coincidence.

" Or the other thing I hear very often is, there is no remuneration for this job but, it may open to a post who there will be a remunation in the long term..... Fuck I'm very passionate about what I'm doing but this is seriously killing me.
" This is what I'm doing currently, Freelance. But most people who call expect the pro bono treatment.

" I feel like freelancing only works if you're offering something of high demand and low supply, think of web designers like 10 years ago (now it's basically worthless). You probably need a new business model, something where you don't depend on shitty clients. A friend of mine is an artist and she makes illustrated books for kids. It's good money. Also I've seen shitty yiff porn on Patreon that makes the artist like 10k dollars a month in recurrent income lol. After all the pro Trump stuff you spewed, well deserved. Why pay you if someone else is gonna do it for free? Capitalism, right? The cheaper the better.
