Assign steam account with this forum

I play PoE via Steam. When i log in into this site using steam accout, i got message like "You have accout yet, create new? <ask forum name>". I expect when i create accout i will have all my characters in profile, but no. Empty new account.

Thats because you do not have a POE account, you have a steam account. there is a post just afew slots down about converting from steam to poe, if that is indeed what you want to do.
