I need to test the PPAD gem and see how it works. With chaining I would assume the +40k-ish dps that it would add to my current gear might be nice. I guess you could always swap back in Melee Phys for bosses that you can't really get out of your face.

It looks like I would lose ~80k effective DPS swapping the 6L from Melee Phys to PPAD. And that is just on the front melee hit.

Do the projectiles also hit in melee ranged when targeting bosses? -- I guess I never thought about this and haven't really looked into the mechanics of LS.

Also trying to decide to 4L my VLS with LightPen. Do I need Enlighten on my Hatred/Purity -- Trying to squeeze EleWeakness in somewhere.

Thanks for the tips and guide, loving the build!

EDIT: Just checking numbers via Path of Building if curious.

EDIT2: With the dual-wield ToA, is it best to use 21/20 LS or 21 LS? Pierce will have an effect on the chaining I assume.

Since PPAD is a green gem, you would probably switch out for faster attacks on those bosses. You'll get better dps as well as sustain.

I don't think the projectiles affect targets you hit with melee. Not too sure about this though.

Enlighten isn't really needed, it's mostly just for QoL, letting you use whirling blades more before your mana runs out. Ideally you'd have elemental weakness on hit vaaled on your gloves.

It's more personal preference to have quality on LS. If you want your projectiles to travel where you aim them, then 20q. I have mine at 10q I think so the Allies cannot die mod is easier to deal with.

Welcome, glad it's helping!

I tested PPAD and for my fast mapping it is so much better than Melee DMG. I am still using a tabula so swapping gems is easy. Aiming for a legacy coil atm, as big phys dmg bosses one-pop me. I'll try out faster attacks instead of phys for bosses and let you know how I like it.

Thanks for the response.

Hey guys, i've been using your guide from the beginning, but doing some research for deep knowledge (im just a newbie), i've finished finding this:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AR5uj78oAiQ

Now i'm afraid, i don't have such free time to keep trying myself so, does anyone knows which one is better?

And if they're similar (yeah both use Lighning strike but think deeper!), in which things do they differ?

Thx!

They both seem pretty similar in clearspeed but with hyaon's fury, you'll be taking 3% damage for each frenzy charge. (assuming 7 charges, that's 21% extra damage you're taking) You can probably get more health but I'm still not sure if compensates for the extra damage you take. In terms of price they are basically the same.

For single target, you can compare here:

Yeah let me know how it goes! Once you get a taste of hate and vinktars (after lightning coil), physical damage won't be anything to worry about.

Thanks for reminding me! This is what I currently have. What you want:

-Life (definitely needed)
-Attack Speed/Physical damage/crit multiplier (with claws/one handed/dualwield)
-Might be nice to have a few resists as well

Speaking of crit, how much does you character end up getting? % wise and multi if you have the numbers :)

Also, I am using the new flask

with a

to overcap above my ToH Cold res. Definitely can feel the difference. I was using a silver flask, but then my cold res was highest, noticed the clear speed plummet. Swapped on a movespeed topax, and things started melting again.

Not sure how I'll be able to fit in a quartz or silver after 4 unique flasks, might have to swap out Atziri's to keep my

Bleeds/Corrupting blood wreck if i'm not leeching. Maybe pop on a Quartz with Staunching or something.

Checking back in to share my super secret tech because I was lost in the woods before you shared this build <3

1. Spec some extra crit then add Thunderfists and you will consistently shock everything for more damage output. They are completely amazing for this build - basically made for it.

2. Herald of Thunder - Curse on Hit - Lightning weakness or Assassin's Mark is very nice with high crit rate.

3. Scourge x ToA is a high DPS option if you only need +1 chain or are facing hard content. The wolves are a small bonus. Though ToA x ToA is still the king of fast clear speed with +2 chain.

4. Path of Building gives me more DPS building with more crit multi/multiplier which is really good with the thunderfists as well. I could be missing something though.

5. EDIT: Quality on LS is a mixed bag since pierce can overwrite chain.

6. Don't forget to swap in your Darkrays and Thunderfists (if you use them like me) for Relic Sadima's and Relic Goldwyrms for some sweet IIQ on easier maps/content
