Help Me find Songs That fit into my PoE Playlist

Imo PoE Soundtrack has been at the level of Diablo 1 Tristam since act 3 onward, getting better and better every expansion.

Still i usually play with music off and my own playlist because i have a fast playstile and whenever i change zones the songs get interrupted, act 1 and 2 have many soundless or boring tracks and music in towns kinda gets repetitive since i'm just few seconds every time there and can only hear the start whenever i go.

I had an epic ARPG playlist that i used for Diablo2 with old rpg music from snes, sega saturn, roguelike games and dungeon crawlers along with PC RPG games... Sadly it was on GrooveShark and i lost them all when they did shutdown without any warning, rip 7 years worth of playlists i had there.

Now i'm trying to build one like that for PoE (this time i will backup it on my pc also :S)

So far i have this: https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLKh5qazu8t1Yu9z8wPCAanJE_zDqzHunu

Most of them are from PoE itself mixed with soundtracks of games that influenced my childhood the most.

If you think that i have missed any great track from games i already have songs of please do tell, i may have not found them while searching. Only games i wont add more songs to the playlist are Diablo 1-2 and torchlight, i have played too many hours of diablo and the ones in the playlist are the only ones i have not burned out, torchlight on the other hand looks like bad copies of diablo to me, Matt Uelmen did the best songs ever then copied them over and over, watering them down every new iteration, quite sad.

I'm open to music not made for videogames as long it fits the thematic, Conan Anvil of Crom is the best example for that.

Tried looking on final fantasy, mass effect, kotor, swtor, etc. but they end being too futuristic-techno-electronic, losing all the fantasy medieval thematic.

Main problem looking for ARPG songs is that they are either a) too chill (tavern,towns...) or b) too hectic (battle songs), im looking for the right amount of tension, suspense and thrill but not in your face deadly crisis like most battle songs on rpgs(it ends getting repetitive and tedious, easy to burn out).

i know i'm missing tons of songs that fit this playlist so please feed me some!

I used to listen to a lot of Dead Can Dance when playing D2 many years ago, some of their instrumental pieces fits rally good into a fantasy world setting; etnich, medieval, gothic, rythmic etc.

Here is some examples

first time i hear of them, they have a couple of interesting songs that i will use for other playlists but they kinda don't fit for this one, too slow paced or with many vocals, i really like them tho, their videocilps are mesmerizing, they have a nice take on trying to understand the world, cultures and religions. the one i liked the most was Yulunga.

you may not have heard of Dead Can Dance before, but if youve seen Ridley Scott films like Gladiator..

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NBE-uBgtINg

or Black Hawk Down...

youve certainly heard Lisa Gerrard from DCD doing her thing. Absolutely off the charts vocalist. Dead Can Dance are a seriously great musical act, worth digging through the mountain of stuff theyve done for sure, some really fine music in there.

Metallica's Call of Ktulu is very similar to the Diablo 2 soundtrack.

Starcraft have amazing songs problem is they are too futuristic and incorporate too many digital instruments like synthesizers, so the theme is out of touch with the Fantasy we have on PoE.

I have been trying for ages to find a decent HQ version of the S&M concerts they did, or at least something not live so i don't hear the public screaming in ecstasy every half minute.

the original version is epic but parts of the songs specially the solos are too loaded, i have been looking for an acoustic version i had on my grooveshark, but that one got lost into oblivion, it was an Asian cover, Japanese i believe but could not recall the name of the author at all, i came across it on the radio mode feature :(

Thanks for the reminder however, i will dig into Metallica later to see if i can add something.

@Snorkle_uk: Yeah now that i know her i realize how many times i had hear her before on many different movies and stuff, if i get some free time at work i will dig into their songs for sure, this playlist is the most time consuming out of all the hundreds i have done.
