Elemental Focus results in more damage since the build already gets so much penetration ( I did the math last league ). Furthermore it enables you to use the boot enchantment "Damage Penetrates 10% of Enemy Elemental Resistances if you haven't Killed Recently". Without Elemental Focus you still kill enemies with burn which would disable the boot enchantment effect.

So how is it going so far - I see you play in Hardcore, I hope you can upgrade to Kaom's Heart soon since it adds a lot of survivability.

Have you ever thought of using the wise oak flask for the extra penetration? I'm currently using it and it works wonders. Also, the fireborn jewel could be used.
