Linux Version.

Ah Common , we are not in 2007 when linux was just used for servers. We are in 2017!

On Steam there's over 3,000 games for linux(and others 3,000 DLCs and extra stuffs).AMD, Intel and Nvidia have great drivers for Linux gaming. There are like 2 Million linux users that play games using Steam(and most of them prefer Free games)

Lots of Small and Huge Gaming companys created a linux version for their games.A few seconds searching and you will find that.So why GGG don't do so?

It was NEVER expensive or hard to port games for linux. Almost every Gaming Engine can export to Linux/Windows/Mac the same game without needing to build it again from 0.It's even easier to port than to do for Xbox.

It's terrible to use Wine to play this game.

Uh what? Linux does not use Direct X and porting a game form Direct X to OpenGl is something different than porting from Direct X to Direct X and optimise for console hardware.

This is the major reason why you have to use wine for any Direct X app with any linux distro.

XBOX One is a neutere Win10 PC nothing else.

But many games use Directx and are ported to linux by the way. Most of them, from small companys. It can't be that hard to do.

AHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA it totally is. Most linux versions still haven't gotten streaming video down. Even those that do are mostly just ok at it. OpenGl is a lot more work for a much smaller audience boost.

Also PS when you're talking about program development the words "it can't be that hard" are 100% always a untrue.

Are you daft? the xbox is a windows powered device using direct x, there probably was next to no effort to get it on and launched in some form on the xbox, all the work is rebalancing, dx11, 64 bit...re working skills and other time consuming stuff

A port to Linux would require they port everything to openGL not something that is easy or inexpensive...they went over this before

If they ever did a PS4 port though you could be in luck (because as far as i know it uses openGL)
Ancestral Bond. It's a thing that does stuff. -Vipermagi

He who controls the pants controls the galaxy. - Rick & Morty S3E1
I'd love to finally have a linux version.
Having Linux native client would be a blast.
As far as I can remember, the amount of people that play PoE on Linux < the amount of time it would cost development/support.

That's not going to change until a lot of people decide to switch OS.

Catch22. If the game was made available as a native Linux client, more would actually be inclined to make the change, especially in light of Windows 10.

PS4 would have been better choice as it supports Vulkan. With that in place Linux would be much easier. Unfortunately, the easy route seems to have been a six year old can of worms called DX11, provided by a company intent on stealing your personal data and selling it to whomever they wish.
