To me question is, who is baying exalts. Mostly people trying to make trade in exalt and those with to match currency like those that flip currency.

From what i figure it all start with greed, gonna ask 2c more for my exalt or i like round number and then after couple of days we get 10c higher price. Then people start noticing and think hmm perhaps this is high demand lets ask 5c more then others and so it get crazy and more crazy. Early league nobody care to shop overpriced exalts or actually need them other then trade. Realistically who care to go for it when prices rise same time as exalt, its frustrating to even bother.

This league i try to start MF char, prices and exalt price was so high i should spend 20 exalt, think not.
Economy is a chain, if you CB it its mining-less to have it. Streamers, RMT/boots and GGG balance team influence, when it get this extreme its just waste of everybody time. Bad pressure is no go for already rng heavy game, it emphasis on bad things to match and kill all hope of progress.

I say price items in chaos, the bots will do weird things but at least economy chain wont stop and people may actually play. You can not price items in exalts when exalt is not stable.
The 180c exalt price just make fast clear and ignoring everything that is not exalt genuinely overpowered.

Hmm... it's getting back to it's 100:1 average price. But when it got way out of normal at 170:1 to 180:1 who was buying any exalts then? At that ratio I should think no one and the market manipulators would just be sitting on their exalts with no one buying. So want's the underlying reason for the inflation and now correction? Can't just be bots can it? Please explain?

It's perception and bandwagoning. People are affected by the news of the ban wave, so they raise their expectations. You're seeing 3rd and 4th order effects and attributing them to the 1st order term.

Bots were buying those exalts for 170+. Rates grown so high because market got over-saturated with chaos (cause no sinks, and bots farm chaoses very quickly). But bots were banned, so exalt rates dropped down, cause bots no longer mass-buy them for their "cheap" chaos orbs.

There's also players speculating on exalt prices who are heavily trying to influence it with fake offers to lower it, and aggressively buying out cheap offers to raise it.

Bandwagoning by players has a snowball effect when the price either starts to rise or drop accelerating it as people try to beat the next person to the deal.
