I took VP very late, at about lvl 85.
You don't really need it until red maps.

I'd path there, but not spec it until you feel you need it.
Even though the build avoids life regen, there's still some left. Profit from it as long as you want.

Hi, I'm trying out this build right now and its fantastic so far, but do I have to have Vaal cyclone? Or is it optional to have?

Apparently OP has abandoned this build. He hasn't commented for a while and his active character has almost no gear.

in the end, it's a good build but not as tanky as claimed and dies almost instantly to reflect mob.
