Can CWC trigger Detonate Dead?

Can Cast while Channelling Support Gem trigger Detonate Dead while properly linked with a channeling skill?

The Wiki says:
Detonate Dead: Despite this skill lacking the spell keyword, Detonate Dead can be triggered with a Channeled skill while linked with Cast while Channelling.

I tried a channeling skill (Blight) + Cast while Channelling Support Gem + Detonate Dead and nothing happens.

Was it working before and they fixed it or why does gamepedia says Detonate Dead works with that support gem?

It acts very weird with the channeling mechanic, it's so for only send to work with flame blast sometimes. The dd doesn't also Target bodies around the flame blast aoe unless the bodies are grouped around the area is being cast

To put it in English: GGG has royally fucked proc mechanics by forcing things that are triggered to be focused on your character rather than the "trigger" itself.

For instance, if you use Cast on Crit and crit an enemy 10 units away, the triggered spells will instead target an enemy at 4 units rather than the enemy at 6 units or enemy at 10 units. Proximity. If no enemy is within the "trigger" range, it will target your character and go at the, I believe if memory serves, a roughly 10 o'clock direction.

At least, this is my understanding and experience in-game and memory from previous gameplay.
This still hasn't been answered ..i tried all channeling skills linking + cwc + detonate dead and none of them triggers them.

Why does wiki says it does since none of them do it ..i even tried standing on top of the corpses and still no corpse is being detonated
What I've read from other posters is that it's probably a bug
