Item Filter Performance

During Content Update 2.5.0's quality assurance process, we found a significant problem where item filters were being checked every single frame for every item rather than just when the items initially dropped.

Early tests indicate that this can result in a significant performance loss when using an item filter. It has affected our online realm for quite a while.

This is fixed in tomorrow's 2.5.0 update. We're very sorry about this problem but are very happy with the massive performance boost that comes out of fixing it.

Are you saying this was always a problem with item filters? Or an issue that developed with 2.5? Not quite sure what you meant.
