The Balance Team needs a shake-up

It would be really cool if they could come up with a dynamic reward system.
First step would be making modifiers behave in "more" fashion instead of "increased". Then the more hard mods you get the better(relative) rewards you receive. With current "increased" map mod behaviour each hard mod added actually reduces loot/difficulty ratio.
And worst change is putting almost all bosses in new version of maps into fucking small areas, where you can't kite well or dodge stuff. What a terrible idiot invented that I want say to him: dude flick you, seriously flick you very much.

Soemthing like this would be nice .... maybe 4 mods at most then, or at most 3 damage mods without curses.

Indeed.
Though, there is still a problem - magic/rare monsters have their own mods, plus map mods on top of that, and almost all are multiplicatve. Reducing the number of mods may help (and it will!), but still, the core problem remains - with such design, 99% of the time you're facerolling everything with full HP, and then, suddenly, that 1% deal enourmous damage or even oneshots you.

And i still believe that damage mods for maps should be the most rewarding ones. ATM, it isnt the case. EE, Enfeeble, magic/rare packs, no regen, less recovery, elemental weakness - all of them are easily manageable for meta builds (aka instant leech), without taking any more damage. On other hand, most like +2 extra projectile, +100% added element damage, etc have much lower rewards, despite much more significant difficulty increase.
I believe, that high risk should also have high reward.

The simple solution is to remove life leech. THat's the problem. Damage must get more and more ridiculous in order to compete with it. Life on hit and passive regen or OK, because they are easier to fine tune damage too.

While I'm not a huge fan of Diablo 3, it's the one decision that they made which makes sense.

They need to make life regen/LoH more attractive on gear.

Leech is just way too powerful, and certain ascendancies make it nearly impossible to die short of a one shot. On top of that Vaal pact makes it even worse.

Remove leech and then they will be able to compress some of the other numbers.

Remove INSTANT life leech, to be correct.

Because PoE has a wonderful mechanics to hold Life Leech under control - it's non-instant, and is limited by your maximum HP. After a certain threshold, it doesnt matter how much damage you deal, how fast you swing or how high life leech % you have, cause your LL is capped by maximum rate, and it is far away from invinciblity, provided by instant LL with 5+ APS (where every hit restores you to full life). This threshold should be reached quite easily, and then, your LL defence will NOT be based upon your offensive stats, thus making a large possibility for a balance.

Of course, to make "ordinary" leech stand any chances again instant one, GGG had to add Slayer's Ascendancy (insanely OP numerically, if you remove instant LL), and nodes with bonuses to maximum life leech rate.

And, yeah, with characters being able to recover full HP pool is split-second, game developers have to increase enemy damage more and more, so you either live or get one-shotted. And all eng-based defences life evasion or block became obsolete.
