Can vortex apply poison?

I know you need to deal chaos damage to apply poison, so lets say you had a link like
Vortex > added chaos > poison support Would it then apply poison stacks? If it did, how quickly would they stack? Last bumped on Oct 28, 2016, 12:57:22 AM

In case you are thinking about the degeneration effect - that is damage over time so it won't apply poison. Also it won't get any added chaos damage either.
Face it, all of your suggestions are worse than this idea:
