Consider a headset and mouse that have wireless capability and charge via the computer, a smartphone (smart phones are actually dumb as fuck), an iPod, plus two extras I use now and then all charging via the computer.

My reasoning is if something is rated for an output of, say, one thing and you use it for that one thing, you're using it at 100% output. It will degrade much more quickly than if you get something stronger.

For instance, if I make a computer that, at maximum output, can do five video games simultaneously, record all of them, stream them separately from recording, and those games are VR, what happens when I only play one non-VR game, don't record, and don't stream? A rather extreme and unrealistic scenario, but it still shows that if I go below the maximum potential it saves on the effort of my computer. Plus it means it will run more silently and much cooler than a weaker system.

I'd rather have too much power than not enough. My older computer had a 1,250 W power supply.
