Shadow magic based build

Hey everyone,

I've been going back and forth for some time now on whether or not to give this game a go. I attempted it prior to the last expansion and had a build to follow, so it made grasping everything a tiny bit easier. After it's release, logging in, I backed down as I could not find another updated build to follow that suited how I wanted to play, and the leveling tree scared me off.

I want to give this another go.. but I was curious if someone could point me in the direction of a nice, easy to follow magic build for the shadow class?

There are tons of builds on the forums, but I don't understand any of the terms used and find it confusing, as I know almost next to nothing about this game other than a very basic understanding of the gameplay.

It is a witch build instead of shadow but it has a lot of information. Besides firestorm is a good selfcast skill for beginners.
