I noticed someone talked about manowar being a very old band, right.
But it doesn't get much better in my opinion.

I never said that they was very old, I said they have been around for along time. I wasn't putting down the band, I was applauding them for the time when they created the music, was top notch for the time period.

Yeah because the only type of metal music that is good, is the kind u like. I understand. Get out of the stone age lol.

Edit; P.s.
Thanks for contributing to the more diversity of this thread.

I never said that what I like is good or better than anything else. You don't even know what I like but you presumed that you know because I mentioned the lack of genres and diversity? Fail.

Also get out of the stone age? Well I guess I won't listen to Chopin anymore...

Don't get mad because I don't dig your lolbands that nobody will remember in 10 years. Mediocrity is everywhere my dear.

ps: Since you are curious about what bands I like and want a contribution to the thread, Tony Martin released a solo album in January. You probably never heard of him though, he used to be active in a "stone age" band called Black Sabbath.

Here's a clip of the cavemen that played in that band

edit: Thx for the list Codeth. I'll check them out tomorrow :)

Anything by Arjen Anthony Lucassen, although most of his stuff isn't metal, it's always good.

By the way does anyone know of a band that has female vocals like this?

I looked up here bands and I wasn't a huge fan of the music or the song length. I can't stand female vocals in metal right now. It's either popish, opera or screaming. This women has some power. She's like a female Allen Russell. If only she was in a band like Haken or Symphony X.

There are good metal bands with female vocals out there. Depends a lot on preferences though. Warlock (now Doro) singer Doro Pesch has a great voice. It's not popish, it's not opera is not screaming. She also has a lot of awesome duets with Scorpions, UDO, Tarja, Saxon, Lemmy etc.

Vixen is an all girl hard rock band from the 80's. Not really metal, but they have some good songs.

Female vocals are heard a lot in power and melodic metal so that would be a good place to look though you'll probably hear a lot of high notes.

Last but not least I could mention Emilie Autumn. Her music is amazing and unique even if it's not related 100% to the metal genre.
If you guys are in the mood for some korean metal look up seo taiji :p
thrash metal at it's best is like an emotional rollercoaster ride.
