Honestly, you need shitty arm/ev 5link and quill rain to start this build.
At the time, you hit merc lake you should afford all of this + Wyrmsign(for pseudo 5l for single-targer setup). If you don't have enough hp to sustain mana cost you can use life leech gem Last league i bought quill rain for 2c and chest for 7c, for example(at the first 12 hours of the league) Last edited by chaospunx#2230 on Feb 27, 2017, 12:46:48 PM

Also, how AoE rework would touch EA explosions?

" I have no idea. BUT if you play with Elementalist you have free proliferation anyway. The prolif aoe was not that big I think radius was around 9. And the explosion is not that big either. I doubt it will change a lot. The main concern would be for bosses. And you don't really need aoe there. Although aoe can be useful in some situations. I guess we'll have to wait for patch notes to know more. |

The explosion radius will be approximately 3-4 units smaller than before depending on how many aoe nodes you are using. It will be fine.
 As for the prolif I can't really say how it will be effected tbh. |

I'd like to league start with this build and was wondering if you plan on updating this for 2.6 before the league begins especially the passive tree?

Not really sure. I don't think its good to start this build as EA but you should transition over once a little later on.
