R.I.P. [2.6] Explosive Arrow - Elementalist Build Guide (multi class + version, in depth theory)
Looks like Explosive Arrow is ok for hitting packs, but when there is a single mob/boss in the open where there are nonearby walls, ur pretty much fucked
" Well It depends how much you invest in gear / gem levels. I have generally found it ok even without Grand spectrum. But it's true that it's better with a pack around the boss. Honestly I'd say this only applies to T16 bosses and Shaper / Uber Atziri. |

Hey Groove, im kinda sad, i need your opinion on this so i might see its positive side, please take a look on my league character (pathfinder GS EA) and tell me...
I was goin to buy a gloves pair with tri res, 87 life, 4 linked and 12 vulnerability on hit for 15 exalteds, with that i was goin to respec Combat Stamina nodes + Oak 40 life to get 4 points and go for Whispers of Doom... that running the result would be: triple curse (flam + ele weak + vulnerability) with a loss of 15% IAS from my current gloves and probably goin from 7035 to 6700 life with less regeneration... The guy just made me sell everything i had left (things i was keepin to sell on standard, yeah im that poor) to buy his gloves and i did, got all the 15 ex he was asking and now he said its too late on league, that he will wait for standard and sell it there for 35 ex. Now i need you opinion... what do you think about it? Was goin to be a SUPER upgrade? (aiming for shaper and guardian kills not clearing speed because thats already fast either way) vulnerability added to my flam and ele weak would hurt a lot more? Should i still buy it for 35ex? should i keep my character the way it is? Or maybe i can respec those 4 points and add a GS and THAT will be more damage than the vulnerability tri curse setup? Whats your thoughts on this sad story? Thanks for all, sorry bother you but im not as experienced as you to make a conclusion. EDIT: I am aware of my extra fire resist, im waiting for a belt to come up on poetrade with light and cold resist... that just happened because my accuracy opal ring is all new. :p SARCARCONN™ Last edited by Sarcarconn#7460 on Feb 20, 2017, 7:40:36 PM

" Well Honestly I don't feel it's worth it at all for EA. I'd keep the money, and here's why. Vulnerability will only work with the burning part of the damage. Furthermore bosses have 60% less Curse Effect. So you actually lose a lot of potential. And you don't even ignite 100% of the time. You also lose life. The build is already weak in defenses. The large life pool and regen is all we have. Instead of offensive a defensive curse would be a great choice. I'm talking about Enfeeble. Remember that damage doesn't help you when you are dead. The current league is almost over and it's probably time to start look for the build/s for Legacy league. |

I was pretty excited to try tri curse out on shaper but now im just :/
But yeah, thanks for ur words... i will keep things the way it is for now... Maybe if i level to 95 i can try a 13th GS... For the legacy league i guess i will just run a meta build and be rich. Tired of starting leagues with fun builds and stay poor for the whole season... SARCARCONN™ Last edited by Sarcarconn#7460 on Feb 20, 2017, 8:17:13 PM

" GG, me too. :) |
" This build should be a good league starter |
" It is a decent league starter. Very cheap to start with generic fire caster and has great scaling options. But there are potentially cheaper starter builds. Like totems, EQ,... Remember that Rearguards and even Quill rains are not too cheap at league start. Not even to mention Kaom's heart which is quite important for the build to sustain the mana cost of EA. But once you get it started the build is quite fast to clear maps. |
