[3.6] The Starlord | Ancestral Warchief + Starforge | All Maps & All Bosses

Which build do you reckon is the most powerful, this build or your facebreaker warchief build?

*Edit* I can see you answered this on page 24, sorry. :)

Hi, how do this build and your facebreaker one fare compared to Lifting Nerd's Ancestral Champion? This one is a very similar build, and it seems to me his outweighs yours both in defense and offense if one changes the Kaom for a Loreweave 6-link set of Ancestral Protector. I'm not trying to demean your work, I'm honestly asking if I am missing something or getting anything wrong.

See, the thing is, I've tried several hardcore-viable builds, but they all end up dying between levels 74 and 85, so I'm trying to ascertain which of the ancestral totem builds is the "ultimate" one, both in damage and defense.

i never play his build so its hard to say something about him. but in generell i dislike champion for totems because you dont have much options for life sustain. by using zerker you have a warcry heal mechanic (War Bringer) and as Chieftain your totems leech the life for you. as champion you would need to pick a special shield to get lifeleech from your totems or ALOT of life reg together with flasks.

you say you die in generel between 74-85. tbh this sounds more like a training problem by yourself than a bad build. as i said i cant speak for his totem build, but i heared from several guys that they played HC with my facebreaker build very well (i also have a video from a guy who farmed uber lab with my facebreaker build in HC iirc)

besides that you should try each build/ascendancy by yourself and decide which do you like the most ;)

Thank you for answering! I've been doing some more research on the matter since I posted last, and have managed to reduce the options to 4 builds, Lifting's Ancestral Champion, Your Starlord and Facebreaker, and the Brutus Led-sprinkler one. I'm sure the deaths are all due to me, which is why I wanted something that was as sturdy and safe as possible. In my experience, the game is very keen on killing you in the most unexpected way possible. You may die one time in a single-shot, which shouldn't happen according to the build of choice, or suddenly perish to a chaos DOT, and once you account for those on your next try, you end up dying to a lightning balls barrage on 75% lightning resistance. However, I was asking more in terms of numbers, statistics and such. According to some of the articles I've read, Chieftain and Champion are the safest ascendancies for Ancestral Warchief, with Champion being the best for going all Phys and using a Starforge, which agrees with my initial assessment of Lifting's build having better defense and offense when compared to your Starlord. However, Chieftain is said to be the best overall when it comes to defense if you don't go the all-phys route, and discard the Starforge, which would leave us with three main builds on the field: The Ancestral Starforge Champion, the Led-sprinkling Ancestral Chieftain, and your Facebreaking Berserker. As you've mentioned, it seems the only clear answer will come from playing with those three different builds. I will try to post the results over in your Facebreaker comment section, once I'm done. Again, thank you for answering!
