What is better in output damage. Ice nova Lv21. + Lv.20 elemental focus, OR Ice nova Lv21+ Lv.4 empower. What configuration will do more damage? Is there some formula how to figure out?

Pretty simple.
Ice Nova deals 406–634 base Damage at level 21. EF grants 49% More Damage. Empower will grant +3 levels, putting base Damage at 537–839. ((537+839)/2) / ((406+634)/2) = 1.32, so Empower is approximately 32% More Damage. Elemental Focus also scales your flat bonus Damage, whereas Empower does not. All your other Damage multipliers are simply multiplicative with Empower/EF, so they're not even relevant :P Last edited by Vipermagi on Aug 28, 2016, 12:16:25 PM

Wait a second. I don't get it. You didn't count EF more elemental damage to your equation.

So actually EF is better than Lv. 4 empower right?

Yeah. Empower grants 32% More, whereas EF grants 49% More and also works with flat Damage. It's so much better.
