I can't take it anymore - once and for all, who is in charge of balance?

" Pathfinder. Elementalist. Any skill that Havoc abuses. Sad thing it's not even hard to see what's broken ingame. It's pretty much the same things for ages/months/years.
" 2017 is the year they will introduce "submissive blow". #GETREKTDOMIBLOW Peace, -Boem- Freedom is not worth having if it does not include the freedom to make mistakes

Define "balance" before we go any further.

" The only part of Elementalist who's broken is Conflux, everything else is on par with the other ascendancies. As for Pathfinder, I'm surprised it took so long for people to do the maths. It was clearly broken from the start when you can use flask like Vinktar, ToH and Rumi.
" Well it was as broken as fortify for ranged. Thing is.. pathfinder wasnt streamed as much as Champion on release and kinda got unnoticed. Despite the post being a satyre of others complaints post, it sadly reminds how poor/bad the balance team is. Lots and lots of posts about things being broken. Lots of theorycrafting done by players. And still no adjustments.
" As someone who generally plays behind the curve (meaning I don't acquire the high levels or gear necessary to really enjoy some of the newer stuff until late in a new challenge league) -I'd emphatically say it matters to me. I would much rather they balance it before introducing it. There is a reason a large portion of players play standard, and GGG is just constantly sticking a thorn in the standard players side when they make these major balance changes. If anything, they should introduce monsters and challenges as a little too strong, and balance down if necessary, and do the opposite with items and skills. They seem to have the monster balancing correct in that sense, but the item and skill balance is opposite of what it should be. I can understand that they want players to look forward to and use new items and skills, but if the players are only using them because they are severely OP and intentionally imbalanced, than it is just a bait and switch, with the switch coming 3 months later. Reminds me too much of the way cable companies run their offers. Now, if GGG introduced what they thought was balanced, and the players exploited the heck out of it in an unforeseen way, than I can see GGG rebalancing that skill/item. " Can be any facet of the game, from exp rates in yellow maps, in red maps, a new spoiled unique items looks UP/OP. Reach of the Council and Voidheart OP, nerfs, buffs, Ascendancies imbalanced... take your pick. |

Balance? GGG has made nearly every original skill completely useless. Imagine being a new player.
