Friend keys are random. I went through the waiting period (although mine was only about a month because I won a key). I gave mine off in a contest too... to keep the community going.

I think the timer can be vastly improved upon and already posted my ideas. But as far as I'm concerned you shouldn't even be given a shot if you have 0 posts. Doesn't take much to just pop in and say hello.

Yes i know they are random, but from what ive gathered it can be anywhere from 3 days to as you said, a month.

And just because its random doesnt mean i cant try to nad one off people
