I heard one thing from the developer that totally blew all my excitement for the game:
Once you leave a planet its gone forever. That means all actions you take have no impact on the universe. If anything is more soul crushing than that, i cant imagine it.

Afaik It uses an algorithmic code to generate the planets in a procedural fashion. This code doesn't change itself, but heavy player influence on a planet supposedly can. So like exterminating a species on that planet will prevent it from generating on that planet again.

The biggest thing I don't like about it is the Sentinels. The idea of those universal police getting aggro'd as easily as it seems they do is off-putting.

Is the quote i was referring too.
For years i searched for deep truths. A thousand revelations. At the very edge...the ability to think itself dissolves away.Thinking in human language is the problem. Any separation from 'the whole truth' is incomplete. My incomplete concepts may add to your 'whole truth', accept it or think about it

I'm pretty excited for it, but I'm definitely bummed about the PC delay to the 12th. I was looking forward to playing this Tuesday :(
I'm pretty excited about the game

even more after reading their last patch note as it is confirmed that it will now be possible to build Bases and own a freaking huge Space Freighter.

What's amazing is that he isn't even trying to spin it. That impermanence would kill it for me, too, if I'd had any interest in playing this one. =0[.]o=

The latest notes about the day one patch has made me considerably more excited for the game.
