Thought regarding 6 linking

I was thinking the other day, trying to unsuccessfully link my Coil again, having spent 100s of fusings on an item I really want my charachter to wear, why GGG has taken this design decison. I think it's wrong to deny the players from thier favourite item, simply by means of RNG.

While I do think to some degree, it's necessary to keep randomness in the process of linking the item, so that only the most dedicated players, actually link these gg items, keeping them rare and exclusive, has clear advantages.

However, my idea, that would not break the concept, is that GGG add an internal counter on every item, so that after a certain noumber of fusing used ( 100 would be ideal ), your odds start gradually improving. So that after 500 you would almost be gruaranteed a 6 link.

I really think this concept would not break the game, and would greatly reduce player frustration.

You don't need a 6L it's their for luxury and an end goal.

So no I firmly stand that RNG is a good thing when it comes to 6L as it makes you into a god not that 5L doesn't do that already.

A way to remove the randomness from 6-linking does already exist: Vorici. Is that not a good enough solution? If not, why not?

BC Vorici too expensive and Justicar drops are kill. Ain't nobody got time to farm 24/7 and ain't nobody god dem 1500 fusings, we are all cheap f*cks. Question, if people constantly 6L everything, is there a trick to get the Prophecy/currency, or is there some black magic involved... black magic in some more materialized form maybe? Other than that I can't explain the richness of everybody.

Vorici price is 1500 fusings.

Don't use Vorici cause you like to gamble? Don't complain if you lose.

No magic, just working towards it. Collecting fuses over drops, master and trades and 6L it yourself. Or collecting the Vorici payment and go for the 1500 fuses. Or flipping Coil's, buying unlinked and sell the 5L's for more Coils and crafting materials. Or just trading stuff and buy a 6L after some time.

Aside from that you can go for a cheaper 6L (generally speaking, 6L's are nowadays more common and cheaper than before) and choose another defensive concept. And as said, it's np to beat the game with a 5L, as said here before.

With just mediocre trading I was able to buy this that league:



Just for the lulz, I normally don't use really expensive stuff 'cuz I like to RIP my shit.
That is roughly on the same price level like a 6L Coil ( in PHC), and I could buy another one if I really want to, I'm really far, far away from beeing "rich" in league like others, thought.

I'm against raising chances for that, people would stay to use the same 2-3 Unique chests every league, especially Coil dominates already too much builds cause it's a no brainer for a defensive decision.

6L is even less important now than befor, with a 5L or even a 4L you can destroy the game....

And now your item keep 20Q when u try to link its a huge buff for linking ur item.



Iam pretty sure even if they give to ppl full perfect item in the chest when you start a new char, some ppl will still complain its to hard :/

I six-linked 2 reaches in SC this league, both under 100 fusings. Now that you hate me, here's some advice you'll probably ignore... your luck is streaky, don't use all your fusing at once, and try to use some when you see your luck running good.

Vorici at 1500 is fine. 6L is supposed to be a long term goal. Get elreon and vorici to 6 and do their daily deals every day, the fusings will start to pile up.

well there is some way to improve the way it works now without removing the RNG factor .

What if once you did a 5 link the system wouldn't roll less than that ?

rolling from 5 to 6 link could be as hard as it is right now but you wouldn't loose your 5 link in the process so the item is still good to use .

this would make the process a lot less frustrating .

i really think it could improve the game without removing the gambling .
