RU specnaz trained boar testing Polish defense lines.

Anyway, those animals can be deadly. Can fvk up your femoral arteries with its tusks. Dont chase it, dont harass it, just leave it alone. This one in the video was trapped by the fence and felt threatened, that's why it attacked. Pretty scary situation if you have kids around.

There's a ton of them where I live and sometimes if you go hiking early in the morning or late in the evening, you can spot them. Whole families with little ones, too.

Yeah, don't fuck with a wild boar. Some people underestimate how powerful some animals are compared to us. It's like an angry locomotive with tusks and you can't really do anything to it unarmed.

People used spears like this to hunt these beasts in the Middle Ages, not to mention they were in large parties with trained hunting hounds and so on, and still sometimes there were accidents.

Notice the crossguard. It's to stop the animal from reaching you even if you manage to stab it. It means this could theoretically happen. People felt putting a six-foot weapon between yourself and the boar was not enough, it still needed a crossguard.

Well, I guess it likes splashing around in the water, same as us really :) Nothing like a refreshing swim and tossing tourists around on a warm summer day!

Don't try using a snake to defend yourself against a boar, either:

"
Pigs are one of four known mammalian species which possess mutations in the nicotinic acetylcholine receptor that protect against snake venom. Mongooses, honey badgers, hedgehogs, and pigs all have modifications to the receptor pocket which prevents the snake venom α-neurotoxin from binding. These represent four separate, independent mutations.

Fuck those middle ages midget people. Some ppl underestimate the power of humans that are trained and fit. We're not all small little light unfit girlies.
Quit after Legion, rejoined PoE to see what the game's like now in 3.12.

People who did boar hunting in the Middle Ages were typically aristocrats. They were well-fed and often trained with various weapons and armour since a young age. Hunting itself was viewed as a manly sport and it didn't exactly attract the bookworms. We can safely assume the hunters were in an excellent physical condition, even if shorter than the modern-day average. There are historical sources which record the training and physical capabilities of Medieval knights (who were all aristocrats) and it was nothing to scoff at.

Apart from that, you are underestimating the power of some animals. They are simply built by mother nature to be much more powerful than us and no amount of physical training can bridge the gap. Their bones and muscles are fundamentally different than ours. There is one thing we excel at and this is long distance running. We are extremely good at that. Intense, short bursts of power? We are weak and fragile in this department. There are various animals which are stronger than us by a factor of 5 at a similar bodymass, and the difference becomes astronomical with heavier animals.

Examples:
Cougars have a vertical jump of over 5 m and horisontal of over 12m, from a sitting position, with an average male bodyweight of 62 kg.

Chimps are said to be roughly 4 times stronger than us and they are considerably smaller physically (there are a number of articles about that if one is not enough)

In comparison, male wild boars are 75-100 kg. Trust me when I say you want no piece of that if it's angry. It's stronger than you, meaner than you and it has a pair of tusks propelled by a neck larger than your legs.
