Officially Retired!!!! Yippee!! New method to ascend announced by GGG and to come out in PoE2

Since about May 17, 2016 I've been keeping a list of the many threads that have been discussing problems with labyrinth (based on the OP) here in the Feedback and Suggestions forum. I've decided to keep the list on line in this OP. For a discussion of what changes might best resolve problems people have, see the OP (opening post) of the thread, SET FREE THE ASCENDANCY POINTS (or rework the lab) [New ascension methods/lab rework ideas]. It does a good job of covering the different proposed methods for "fixing/improving" the labyrinth. For band-aid fixes, the two most complained about aspects of Labyrinth at this point are a more predictable completion of the 6 end-game trials and some kind of partial recovery of a labyrinth run on a disconnect.

For over a year, I ignored threads about just Izaro or enchants and not list those. My theory about those complaints is that they are not really about the new trap gameplay and other problematic mechanisms added in labyrinth, e.g., no portals. Also, complaints just about Izaro usually boil down to someone wanting the challenge to just be made easier. The focus I have is making it fun not easier. I also ignored the very few threads that had a positive OP regarding labyrinth. Starting in December 2017 I will now probably include most threads about Izaro. Izaro has been nerfed some and I think most of the threads about Izaro have something to do now with the loathsome area that he forces people to sometimes repeat making the distaste for Izaro even greater than otherwise.

Some of the intended purposes served by this list are;
- demonstrates that the Ascendancy Release had large quality problems in both design and execution.
- providing anecdotal evidence as to how a significant percentage of the player base dislikes the labyrinth,
- demonstrates that there's been many problems in the labyrinth,
- help bring attention to the issue in the hope that GGG will fix the problem by making labyrinth optional or making ascendancy points available without requiring bad trap gameplay,
- and it demonstrates how horribly divisive the labyrinth has become for the community.

The list is in roughly reverse chronological order.

Most of the threads contain people shitting at Lab, demanding it removed, or shitting at each other. A lot of shit, in general.

I don't really see a point in listing all of them - 99% of them contain no useful information. TBH, most posts can be summed up as XxxTimmyxxX hates Lab a lot, and he thinks it sucks, and can't play now, and lab must be removed.

But it's percentage damage based. You can do the trials with a level 68 (or lower I guess) if you wanted though.

Lab haters are the vocal minority. Pls, do not give them to much attention. They are not able to do the most simple tasks to get the powerfull ac points.

As I've pointed out elsewhere, this is a common fallacy, arrived at by those who really have no idea of why the labyrinth is disliked by many PoE players.

For the most part, all we want is an alternative way to achieve Ascendancy points. For those who enjoy their time navigating traps, all I can say is have fun. Personally, if I wanted to play this type of game, I'd dust off my console and play Prince Of Persia.

Oh, by the way, there's not a great deal of skill involved in running the labyrinth, even Uber. More or less any fool can create a Juggernaut with lots of life/regen and run straight through most traps.
