Doing this build at the moment, can u explain the mechanics of barrage in more details for me please, 12 projectiles 14 projectiles, volleyfire adds a few, barrage itself shoots a few, who/what contributes how many projectiles? Lol

Each Volley fire provides 4 more projectiles for better clearing speed but not helpful in single target.

Helm enchantment provides 1~2 more projectiles (depends on merciless or uber lab) which head to same direction as your original projectiles from barrage. These additional projectiles are helpful in single target only if you have really low aps.

The barrage mechanic is, it will cost you 40% of your attack time to wind up your hand, and then 60% of your attack time to shoot barrage. CoC cooldown time is 0.05 sec.

We only talk about the single target situation (we exclude the proj from volley fire) when we calculate breakpoint, cause we can always one shot every packs.
So it turns out with 4+2 projectiles, your breakpoint is 2.0 aps. (0.5s * 60% / 6 = 0.05s)
With 4 projectiles, your breakpoint is 3.0 aps. (0.33 * 60% / 4 = 0.05s)
So, if you have more than 2.0 aps with 6 proj in single target, your proc rate will be lowed down.
If you have more than 3.0 aps with 4 proj in single target, your proc rate will be lowed down.

As a result, 2.0 aps/6 proj is same single target dps as 3.0 aps/4proj, cause they shoot same amount of projectiles during a time interval and also follow the rule of cooldown time 0.05s.
But, 2.0aps always does lower clearing speed than 3.0aps, cause we always one shot every pack.

Besides, its really easy to reach 3.0 aps in this build w/o either silver flask or vaal haste.

So, the result shows that +1~2 additional barrage proj enchantment isnt ideal actually. Cause we always want both best single target dps and better clearing speed.

To be honest i wasnt even sure what to ask, but turns out that is the perfect answer to my question, the explanation with the math cleared up everything :)

So if your barrage hits every 0.049 seconds for eg, the first hit at 0 sec will proc coc, but the second hit at 0.049sec will be 'wasted', and the third hit will roll for coc again at 0.098 secs, in that case its almost halved the effectiveness. Is that correct?

So if i use silver flask, during silver flask effect i should also stay under 3aps too, right?
