Yea, it looks like an extremely poor attempt - small military force, not taking out governemnt leaders, hitting some empty buildings, the army surrendered to civilians - or, a false flag coup. In both cases Erdogoon will now strengthen the authoritarian grip on the country.
There's already reports of purges in the military (which was purged several times already in the past). I guess not much will change in the region. ISIS & other "moderate terrorists" will still have an open supply line through Turkey and the wars in Iraq & Syria will drag on. When night falls
