Also, why did the cops kill him rather than bring him in?

Because he was armed, shooting back and they had to stop his rampage.

Stop following conspiracy sites, they really mess with your ability to reason as a logical being...

Or that the Iraq invasion was "legal" and justified in any way.

On the heels of Iraq’s defeat in the 1991 Gulf War, inspectors with the International Atomic Energy Agency returned to Baghdad with a mandate from the U.N. Security Council to find and destroy the country’s illicit nuclear weapons program. What they found astonished them: Left unchecked, Iraq had hoped to have a bomb by the end of the year.

IAEA inspectors had frequently visited Iraq throughout the 1980s, touring the country’s nuclear facilities and checking to see whether Baghdad’s declarations to the Vienna-based agency were complete. While some within the agency harbored suspicions about Iraq’s intentions, the IAEA failed to grasp the true extent of Saddam Hussein’s nuclear program. Iraq used a campaign of deceit and deception to clandestinely acquire the tools, materials, and knowledge necessary to construct a nuclear weapon. At the same time, IAEA officials were invited for carefully choreographed visits to sites such as the Tuwaitha research facility, a center for the weapons program. The officials left thinking that Iraq was far from attaining a bomb — a serious miscalculation that wasn’t corrected until after the first Gulf War.

they should send those united nations inspectors to the us and russia. funny idea? why allow single states to have nuclear weapons and deny it to others? because some could use them? what is the state called that used atom bombs to kill millions of people directly and indirectly over several years?

if having nuclear weapons or even the threat to get them makes it legal to invade a country, why is nobody invading russia or the us? can it be that having those weapons is the only guarantee not to get invaded?
age and treachery will triumph over youth and skill!

Would you really trust ayatollahs or wahhabi clerics with the bomb? Those fanatics aren't rational or pragmatic, like US, RU or China. The least countries have the bomb, the better. It's already bad that failed states like pakistan (confirmed) & North Korea (supposedly) have them.
When night falls
She cloaks the world
In impenetrable darkness
the main problem are dirty bombs.
Also once you get the bomb, you can gaz and kill the minority of your country none will come to help them anymore.

Sadam with the bomb=no more kurds.

Because of the Treaty on the Non-Proliferation of Nuclear Weapons. The treaty recognizes five states as nuclear-weapon states: the United States, Russia, the United Kingdom, France, and China More countries (191) have adhered to the NPT than any other arms limitation and disarmament agreement, a testament to the treaty's significance. The treaty does also have the goal of complete nuclear disarmament, eventually. Start I and Start II have significantly reduced US and Russian nuclear arsenals, though Start III hasn't gone anywhere for a long time now. Technology will eventually displace nuclear weapons (and people will wish they just had nukes to worry about).

I don't know what your background knowledge of the situation is, so a few brief facts to help you understand why nuclear weapons were used:

World War II was still going at the time. Far more people died from conventional bombings of Japan than the nuclear weapons. The number of people who would be killed by the weapon was considered to be less than the number who would die during protracted warfare.

The option of detonating a nuke as a display was considered, but the US did not have enough fissile material for several weapons. It was judged (correctly) that the Japanese emperor would not be able to gauge the atomic bomb's destruction accurately from a non city demonstration, nor surrender because of it. If he had surrendered after Hiroshima, there might be questions, but the fact is, that destruction was not enough to convince him. It took a second city to convince him to surrender.

If the US and Russia did not have nuclear weapons, WWIII and WWIV would have come and passed (there is some non-classified info on this if you are willing to dig), and the situation in the middle east would likely become WWV.

There have been a lot of countries that have or had nuclear weapons and have not caused the world to worry about them using them. South Africa, Brazil, Argentina, Israel, Canada, India, France, UK, China ... and others. Nations that are either unstable or hotbeds for exporting terrorism like Pakistan and North Korea do become worrisome as nuclear card holders.

"Witnesses said the death toll rose because the gunman then got out of the vehicle and started shooting at people."

Not sure of the veracity of whether the driver had gotten out and started firing at the crowd, but the idea of using a taser and worrying about killing someone who has killed several dozen other people is absurd. It would be like a firefighter discussing a fire's motivation and trying to carefully remove the fire without harming the fire.

I can imagine future doctors following this mindset - "I'm sorry, but the cancer cells took a vote and they are staying. Furthermore, your cancer is suing you for loss of enjoyment and the EPA is investigating you for using known anticarcinogens without conducting a cancer impact review. "

I guess just having a muslim name was enough for the propaganda machine to brand him as a terrorist.

No, mowing down 80+ people with a truck is enough to brand you a terrorist. ffs...

Your secret twitter source obviously knows more than the intelligence services & police -_-

"The uncle of the Tunisian terrorist Mohamed Lahouaiej Bouhle who killed 84 people on the French Riviera says his nephew was indoctrinated about two weeks ago by an Algerian member of the Islamic State group in Nice. The uncle said he learned about the Algerian recruiter from extended family members who live in Nice."

"Paris prosecutor Francois Molins, who oversees terrorism investigations, said Bouhlel had expressed support for the Islamic State group and searched online for information about the Orlando attack on a gay nightclub. Searches of Bouhlel's computer and phone showed his online searches relating to IS, other jihadi groups and violent images, Molins said."

"Mohamed Lahouaiej-Bouhlel had grown a beard in the eight days before he carried out the attack and told friends “the significance of the beard is religious”, prosecutor François Molins told a press conference."

"On 7 July, Lahouaiej-Bouhlel had researched the Qu’ran on his computer as well as religious songs."

"The UK Telegraph, citing Nice-Matin newspaper, reported, “The truck driver was said to have shouted ‘Allahu Akbar’ — God is greatest — before being shot dead by police.” The Daily Mail also reported that detail."

"Bouhlel’s brother, Jaber Bouhlel, told the Daily Mail that Bouhlel had sent the family more than $110,000 to his family right before the attack, which surprised them because of the large sum but insisted his brother was not a terrorist."

"He may not have been working alone - The 31-year-old sent the message at 10.27pm on Thursday saying: ‘Bring more weapons, bring five of them to C.’ An earlier message said: ‘It’s good. I have the equipment,’ French TV reported."

"CNN reported that authorities found a phone number for Bouhlel in an investigation into an associate of Sengalese jihadi Omar Diaby (also known as Omar Omsen), “who lived in Nice before traveling to Syria.” "

"It has also emerged that he has a criminal record in Tunisia following one conviction for physical abuse. "

"He was a delivery driver known to French police as a petty criminal who had a series of brushes with the law since 2010 for violence, sometimes with a gun, and thefts, Molins added.
He was arrested in January for violence with a weapon and in March a judge in Nice gave him a six-month jail sentence, which was suspended, the prosecutor said."

"French media have reported that Bouhlel's mobile phone records show he watched Isis beheadings online and used dating websites to meet men and women - including dating a 73-year-old man."

"The Tunisian man who plowed his truck through crowds in Nice had researched the route ahead of the attack that killed at least 84 people and injured scores of others as they were celebrating Bastille Day, according to French media reports."

"CCTV footage from the days beforehand show Bouhlel driving through the area in his 19-ton truck, carefully studying the scene, Europe 1 radio reported. The footage shows Bouhlel driving slowly near Nice's Promenade des Anglais early last week."

"Seven people are in custody in the probe into the Nice attack. Three of the suspects were brought to French intelligence headquarters in Paris on Monday to face eventual terrorism charges, according to a security official."

"At the home of one of the suspects, an Albanian national, investigators found 11 telephones, cocaine and 2,600 euros ($2,900) in cash, according to a security official and the Paris prosecutor's office."

"Bouhlel took selfies in his truck in the hours before he plowed through the festive crowd."

To add to this: Japanese propaganda following the first bomb drop, blasted over speakers, on the radio, and in print all maintained for days that there wasn't a bomb dropped, that everything was normal, and that any other reports of a super-weapon were western propaganda designed to get Japan to surrender. I was going to go into a lot of what DalaiLama said, but didn't want to take the time just to be met with more "hurr durr my conspiracies are real history, your books and real sources are propaganda". You are a more determined soul than I Lama.
