Simple solution to scion acendancy

The alt start is fairly niche but now with 8 points available it's at least not the choice between that or a second class, it's the choice between that and a fourth skill point which is an actual decision. The stat points are kind of meh in most builds, can could be replaced with something more interesting, other notable nodes or even more interesting jewel sockets.
There is actually no decision there, as a new starting place is worth at least 5 passive points in almost every situation as well as the starting nodes are stronger than most. putting jewels in the scion ascendancy is a decent idea but sadly it wouldn't work well with "radius" jewels. As i said before because the stat nodes are 40 stats they are actually quite good and thats the least of the issues with scion atm.
Remember when we said it was gonna be path of scions....yah that dint happen
Support the cause. Free the ascendancy points from LAB.

Other top 3 issues. Make standard great again. Fix XP (add fatigue system). Fix lag.

PPL talk how to make Scion better while Hierophants nad Guardians are in much worse place

If that really is the proportion of Ascendants being played, then there truly is a big (huge) issue. Ascendant is Scion's only ascendancy, so it should be well above the others (around 14%) in terms of proportion played. At the very least, it should be above the 5% mark.
I see two ways of fixing the issue:
1) Up the number of modifiers to six per mini-ascendancy, so that it gets a little bit of all notables. This increases the chances of finding that one mini-ascendancy that completes your build very well on the other side of the tree (like the Trickster for my Righteous Fire Scion).
2) Choose a set of modifiers that complement each other well (no incompatible modifiers like Saboteur's) and show best what the ascendancy is about.

Making non-notables slightly better could help too. Have stats and a passive point on each of them, maybe? But jewels seem too strong.

Why do you insist on making a flawed comparison? You need to compare every class each character gets. Scion gets one, Ascendant. Templar gets 3, Inquisitor, Heirophant, and Guardian.

At the very least do the comparison right, instead of pretentiously shifting numbers.
