Leap and Crash: Crit Staff EQ Juggernaut ft. poison!

Welcome to my first build guide ever! It's a crit staff EQ juggernaut. Very fun, quite tanky, Atziri viable, & Uber Izaro viable.

Pros: Tanky, great damage, Atziri viable, Uber Izaro viable, & fun!

Cons: Relatively expensive (not recommended until you have a decent chunk of currency to invest), can't do reflect, meta :p

My gear is unoptimized but I thought I'd share anyway. I'm still missing a 30% reduced duration on Earthquake enchant on my helm as well as not having all 20/20 gems.



Voidheart is a necessity if you're going to play this build, however if you can't afford one, you can drop the rapid decay gem for multistrike for some single target damage.

The reason we use Hegemony's Era is because it has a high crit chance compared to any other two handed melee weapon; in addition to the high crit it synergizes well with the smashing strikes and blunt trauma passives from the tree. Blunt trama causes knockback on crits, so when you crit the staff gives you a 10% chance to gain a power charge and the smashing strikes passive gains you an endurance charge. Now since we're using Unflinching and Unrelenting when you gain an endurance charge you gain your maximum.

The reduced duration on EQ enchant on helm is fairly important but it's also extremely expensive. If you can afford to get it, do so.

The build can be HC viable if you get a bit more life. My tree currently has 179% increased life before jewels; you can get more for HC as well as using some rare gloves instead of Facebreakers.
As far as jewels are concerned you want to have at least one jewel with mana leech;
The priority on jewels is as follows:
one jewel with mana leech
life
crit multi
crit chance
area/melee/phys damage
damage over time

Aye, running very similar build. Designed it for just farming endgame lab, but was surprised with how well it performs outside of lab. not the fastest clear speed in groups, but solo is pretty solid and its boss killing abilities is absurd. Char's name is BackAtItWithBadBuilds if anyone has some suggestions. I run abyssus only for bosses where i feel i need extra damage (atziri mainly)
