After the crit multi change, how do Unyielding + Belt of the Deceiver work?

Monster base crit multi is 130%. Unyielding + Belt of the Deceiver = -50%.

So monsters would have 80% crit multi instead?

That stat you are talking about says you take 'reduced extra damage' from critical strikes.

The extra damage you take is 30% extra for most monsters. So if you take 50% reduced extra damage, you'll take 15% extra damage instead. So the effective crit multi will be 115%.

Damn, that's a lot less significant than I thought it would be. Enfeeble is way better it seems.
That feel when one still regards Indomitable as Unyielding, yea it still happens to me too. lol


Back on topic, Indomitable (old Unyielding) is still worth taking even more so if you are mostly AR or pure AR. That + Enfeeble + Fortify makes you really tanky. :)

Oh oops lol, didn't even realize it's called Indomitable now. I was thinking of using Reckless Defence jewels in a build and was wondering if Indomitable was worth grabbing. I'm not sure it is, given it takes me 6 points :/

If you are going to use Reckless Defence, then you will really need Indomitable more than ever. Enfeeble is not that effective against uniques/bosses, so you will need more crit mitigation.

Try without Indomitable and see how it goes. You will probably do fine, but not sure about the really hard hitting bosses and mobs in red maps.



I allocated to Indomitable just because the opportunity arose and was too good to pass up.

But anyway, I think this passive isn't for normal monsters, it's for those monsters or maps with increased critical strike multiplier If a monster has 70% increased critical strike multiplier, it will take the multiplier down from 200% to 180%, which is like 10% less damage taken. Still probably not worth 6 points, but is probably worth 3 (especially with the armour bonuses too) if you are nearby.

If you're the sort of player who can tank everything easily, and only dies to 1-shots, then this node is a really good investment.
