Beacon of Corruption question

the ascendancy choice/passive/notable beacon of corruption for the necromancer is it affected by increased damage over time passives or increased chaos damage passives? I hope so

You mean the death cloud? The minions are doing the damage, so it will be affected by minion damage and minion life nodes. Not your other nodes though, sadly.
It will be affected by any increased DoT, AoE or chaos damage support gems you have supporting the minions though).
