Sad day in the US :( over 50 deaths

Except here its quite different. Following an assassination attempt, this guys bodyguard fired back and caught 2 years of prison time for it.

Not really the same circumstances as it was linked to organized crime but its still funny to me that by law, if someone is firing at you, you should just sit there and take it or try to get away and get shot.

I don´t think so. I get the simple message above, but overall it´s not good. E.g. the guy who started the trouble wouldn´t have had a gun with stricter laws. Now you might want to argue with terrorism...they suicide bomb themselves in areas with security personnel( or even without).

btw this was yesterday, 40 police cadets/instructors killed in Afghanistan...

In that particular case i'm sure he'd still have access to a gun. It's really strict laws in Canada for that kind of thing but we still have alot of gun crimes. It works in places like Japan or the UK but not everywhere.

I was actually referring to Ray´s post. Hope the statistics in Canada look better than in the U.S., but I became a little tired of searching for them lately...., especially now, in Germany it´s 2 a.m. and I´m drinking milk.

I have seen cow kings and cows with halberds before, now they´ve arrived at cowmunism, not bad :).

Sad how some people think banning guns will somehow magically stop terrorism. Bombs and boxcutters cause even more deaths and carnage per event. It's not a gun problem.

Also, more people die from blunt trauma than from rifles each year. Though, I guess banning guns will somehow magically fix things. It's not a gun problem.
