Any way to optimize performance beyond the in-game options?

So, I'm at the point where game performance is my biggest obstacle to progressing... and quite frankly, as much as I love PoE I'm not willing to shell out for a better PC just for it (Especially when people with high end PC's still complain about performance issues).

I'm hoping there's ways to majorly downgrade some of the settings beyond the measly handful of options we're given in-game, so that I can do harder content (Even if everything looks fugly while doing it).

You can go clay mode...

Settings.ini I think in game folder you open with text editor, look for "texture" u see texturequality=1 change value to 5, as well as another quality=1 line you see right after it (also to5).

U can set to 9 for true clay mode...

Thanks! I'll give it a go, see how it is. If it works well, I'll just create a second file I can swap in and out depending on what I'm doing.

one of the reasons i never supported this company is the inconsistency of their policy being it crosstrading 3rd party currrency macros dual boxing software ect

community keeps the game alive being it support or the countless little helper player have written over the years took 3 years to force them to fix desyc motivation was bad press on review sites

if the pressure isnt high enough nothing will change and more useless gfx porn will be added to the game

i miss hilbert sometimes he always was straight to the face and took enough blame for it but was right most of the time
