1 Frame at a time

Occasionally when I minimize my screen as I'm transferring between an instance, or loading up a character, my game won't update the frames. I can try to move around, but nothing seems to happen, unless I minimize and bring the game back up. At that point I get a new frame, and it's how it should be after I tried moving around. It's like I'm playing in screenshots, and it's avoidable, but if it's also super easy to have happen and the only solution I've found to fixing it is to restart my client.
