Anyone else experiencing lag/freezes with fortify and onslaught?

Everytime i load a map, when i first activate fortify and/or onslaught i get 1-2 seconds computer/game freeze and it often kills me. i dont know if other buffs do that but since i removed them i dont die anymore. Not often you'll hear say one of the best defensive buffs in the game kills you but its really annoying.
