They could at least make this challenge a mini ssf perandus league. I'll try to compete but it sure looks a bit pointless :P

Is GGG facing creativity issues? Of course they are. Every game developer, even the most successful, does.
I will say one thing: no game can be sustained indefinitely. It's absolutely crazy for GGG not to have another title in development by now. The design space for (this iteration of) Path of Exile is limited. When Stephen Colbert was killed by HYDRA's Project Insight in 2014, the comedy world lost a hero. Since his life model decoy isn't up to the task, please do not mistake my performance as political discussion. I'm just doing what Steve would have wanted. The real hardcore PoE players and the elites sit in town and zoning in and out of their hideouts trading items. Noobs that don't know how to play PoE correctly, kill monsters for items. It's pure fact, it will never change.

When GGG finally do something different, the get shit on by most people in here (read: The Lab). Else from that, I think:
1...Most people just want more. More stuff, more items, more skills, more areas, more tile sets. 2...There are restrictions in the engine - there only so much they are able to do. BTW, saying "more of the same", what alternatives are you thinking about? Sometimes, just sometimes, you should really consider adapting to the world, instead of demanding that the world adapts to you.
