Academy Boss Not Dropping Loot

We ran two Academy maps back to back near the end of a mapping session. Both times the boss dropped almost no loot, even with ~4-5 people inside the boss room. I only took a screenshot on the second time.
Only dropped the foil, helmet, and cutlass.

If it's related to any skills, I was running Vaal Righteous Fire and other big DPS was a guy running Vaal Molten Shell.
Both times I ran up, popped flasks and curses, popped vall righteous fire, and ran out of sight to let the DoT work.
