Next week going to release a video on this situation also including details that I can't post here on the forums but can include in my video.

I'm sure that will be absolutely fascinating, any chance of a trailer or something?

I'll work up a trailer for it, and give notice when that's available. Thanks for expressing your interest.

So overdosing on tinfoil, looks like you are obsessed with RMT and want GGG to ban them, they do but not everyone you think RMTs dose.

Now as for reddit...never use it but i'd guess that your posts are hidden because the are overwhelmingly down voted.

Thanks for showing me that thread. I can tell you didn't look at the images or read half of my thread from your response, and you're commenting without knowledge (claiming you've never used reddit). But, you didn't come to this thread to do anything but belittle / insult through clear implication with the "So overdosing on tinfoil, looks like you are obsessed ..." indirectly saying I'm crazy then you straight up say obsessed which further implies shouldn't be payed attention to. Who should heed a crazy person right? Your response follows more along the line of "nothing to see here, just a dancing idiot, move along".

Fuck your implied and direct insults.

I've seen more toxicity on these forums than I have on the poe subreddit.

Are you guys just mad that you get downvoted or something? Help me understand why you hate the subreddit so much.

I've clearly defined my experience with the subreddit through the original post with images to help clarify my position / view. My other comments are directly related to responses here.

Since the subreddit isn't controlled by GGG, nor is it required to follow the policies of GGG, /r/pathofexile moderators can do whatever they wish according to reddit policies. The issue lies with the scope of the subreddit, and who's comments they reasonably allow or don't allow. Disallowing reasonable comments on the reddit that go against a non-disclosed agenda, or causing the timing of the comments to fall to where people don't see the comment under new comments distorts the view people can form regarding path of exile. In fact, if the majority of people who use /r/pathofexile are people who RMT, then they control what the reddit shows through the use of downvote. That's how reddit works, sure. However, controlling the subreddit posts to follow the hidden agenda of rmt profiteers goes against what I know to be part of the mission of Grinding Gear Games: to provide a game free from pay-to-win.

If the majority of consistent redditors are rmt bullies or just bullies, then people who aren't involved in rmt / bullying won't stick around, and that paints a negative image of Path of Exile from the experience new players who come to reddit might have. From what I've seen posted on reddit lately, I've seen people becoming enraged at the monopoly of items happening in temp league, and more generally, monopolization. People become angry because they want to enjoy playing the game without having to fight the monopolies held by certain individuals who might be involved in rmt profiteering.

I'm writing you this message as a warning about the sub-reddit for Path of Exile. If you're looking for an unbiased source of information about path of exile, somewhere you can go to post your thoughts about Path of Exile, Reddit is not the place. I've tried multiple times to make comment recently, and my comments have been lost to the void in some way for other members to read, unless they go to my user profile on reddit, then to the overview.

At first I thought you were just talking about how Reddit works in general, because this is how Reddit's version of a message board works regardless of moderation with the thumbs up/thumbs down popularity contest system.

Lol. Keep looking.

Reddit removes a lot of the spite content though.

So even if you look for it a lot of it is removed. One of my friends recently tried looking for a thread that went all ape-shit flame on me and it didn't exist anymore.

He was convinced reddit was not so bad, until he realized they simply remove those threads after they happen.

I guess that's a good thing all things considered, but it does portray a distorted view of the community there.

Peace,

I think the underlying message people should get from this thread is that no matter what the origin, purpose, or "intended" drive of a global communications forum, it's ran by PEOPLE so it will eventually be corrupted or controlled, no matter how innocent it's purpose was on creation.

thinking that Reddit is open and uncontrolled and 'balanced' is like thinking that a salesman really has your best interests in mind. Even if he does care about your interest, he cares more about getting his compensation check.

IF these threads were moderated, It doesn't surprise me. not because of the comments, but because your dealing with Humans.
