Ever had this happen to you?

So you get invited to two different places. You decide to mix both invitations up... One group of friends want to hit the movies while your other friends want to hit the bar. So you decide well how bought an early movie and have both set of friends meet at the bar. Soooo you have a great time at the movies and head your way to the bar.

You enter the bar see a familiar face waving to you and you head over there. You introduce movie friends to bar friends and you think to yourself... "Thank god everyone gets along..." Or so it seems.

As you buy the first round your new friend from over 4 months that you made from another friend decides to escort you to get drinks... You say yourself, "damnit somethings wrong." So you order drinks and this friends of four months whispers, "hey I'm going to leave early I don't associate myself with those type of people."

"type of people..."

You realize you have a very diverse group of people and of course not everyone is going to have chemistry... So you look smile and say, "I'm sorry can you explain a little bit what's so off putting?"

Your friend turns head and replies, "well look at us and look at them do you really think we match? No offense but you shouldn't hang out with people that don't take care of their image or rather don't fit the part."

My eyes opened wide, swallowed a bit... "Well you know friend A works two jobs and has a kid, friend B volunteers at a children's hospital after her mom passed away a year ago and friend C is actually a model. Here take this drink binge it down and maybe you'll lighten up a bit... Or you are more than welcome to leave."

You think you know people...

a lot of people don't um... lay out who they are even after knowing them for a long time... when you think you know someone, they always pull a left turn out of no where for whatever reason and turns you off. a lot of times these people get triggered by meaningless stuff.

and yes this has happened to a lot of us. this is why when you work in an office you always have people placed into groups who never ever bother introducing themselves to the other groups. usually the generic way is associating with race or country of origin.

each and every time you enter a new office you have to carefully look at this lame ass social structure and find the least lamest group there is, it's also how prison behaves... if the jail is a jail of all white people or all blacks or whatever, it will still divide into niche groups like neo-nazis, bikers, thieves, junkies and so on.

in high school this is done with fashion... "preps", goths, emos, sk8ers, punks, jocks etc

i'm just giving examples most people are aware of because you answered your question in the fearmongering russia thread with the post you made.

clearly you're drunk or multitasking and not paying attention lol
I always polarized.
Upon seeing me for the first time, there are shallow people, who might think? "What is that dude about? I am not going to talk to that strange guys!" and those that might think: "Hmm... Interesting.. I wonder which stories he has to tell."

I never care for the first group... I am not trying to change my looks or behaviour just to be liked by the majority of people... I really don´t need shallow people in my life.

I am happy with those who make the effort do get to know me a little better... because they usually stick around :)
