So I full cleared Prisoner's Gate trying to find him knowing full well I was not crazy. This screen shot should show everything that needs to be known.

Two times?
I pillaged Prisoner's Gate for like hour, gained around 5 levels and 50 coins. Not a single Guardian of the Mound. And web site crashed just when I attempted to report it. Besides, it might give a clue. Before Ascendancy Prisoner's Gate layout consisted from a chain of 4 valleys. having the same problem. thought I was losing it or something. he's not there. ran like 6 times.

Can confirm as well, fully cleared it 2 times [running it one more time right now] and I haven't had him spawn at all.

It looks like hes only in Cruel+.

" Then they either need to add him into normal, or (more likely) remove him from the list required for this challenge. I doubt this was intended that you would have to wait until Cruel+ to get this challenge considering how easily the other 15 were to obtain. It even says on the challenge description, "any difficulty". | |

Happened to me as well.
Run through the place 3 times exploring full map and a fourth time making sure I actually killed every mob. It just wasn't there. | |

Confirmed. Seached him for an hour, he is on a vacation, apparently.
