Ascendancy passives - increased stats

So for example Necromancers "Spirit Eater": "You and your minions deal 30% increased damage...", is this still additive according to poe vernacular or is it more like an additional over the total damage (increase over the total of base, additives and multipliers). The "increase" wording is used a lot in ascendancy and seems pretty damn lacklustre if this is normal just a normal additive bonus.

It's the usual affair, and some of those bonuses are indeed somewhat lackluster.
Wish the armchair developers would go back to developing armchairs.
