What do you still expect from the remaining Ascendancy classes?

Tala Moana,

We now already know the majority of Ascendancy classes and are eagerly waiting to find out what the third Witch, Templar and Marauder class will look like. And the Scion ofcourse!

My question is: what do you still expect from those four classes now that we know the current ones? I have a very structural approach to this question: I expect from them talents we have not (sufficiently) seen yet from the current classes. Here is a list:

AoE specialisation for spells:

Witch or Templar. We have the Slayer for melee, and the Deadeye for projectiles. A spell AoE specialist seems appropriate. Those are also the two classes who have good AoE nodes close to their start.

A "15% MORE AoE" would be nice...

Curses:

No Ascendancy class even mentions curses. It has to be the third Witch class.

Energy Shield:

Both Hierophant and Trickster have some ES focused nodes. The Witch, as the pure intelligence class, has to have an ES specialist.

Aura's:

Apart from the weak Necromancer node (and 1 Champion travelling node), we have not seen any so far. Aura's really fit the Templar theme, so we should expect some focus on aura's in his third class.

Totems:

Totems are too cool to have just the Hierophant offering some totem boosts. No doubt the third Marauder class (Shaman probably) will give us a totem alternative.

Duration:

Only the Necromancer has increased duration. So it would be nice to see this feature on another class too. Reduced duration would also be a nice property on some caster travelling nodes, as it benefits lightning warping and storm calls.

Multi-class:

Not a necessity in itself, but shouldn't the Scion be able to be anything? That's her role in this game! So I think she doesn't have her own Ascendancy tree but can unlock the skill tree of another Ascendancy class by allocating one of the two starting passive skill tree points of that class. If she travels to the starting points of 2 different classes, she can pick from 2 different Ascendancy class trees. In the extreme case where she can reach a starting node of 3 different classes, she can use the trees of 3 different Ascendancy classes. Ofcourse she also has only 6 points to spend in total, so 2 per Ascendancy class e.g..

Curses cant really be a thing until curse immune maps are removed or altered. Even solo, you have to burn chaos orbs each time one spawns on a dedicated curse character.

Elementalist feels like a bit of a miss to me.

Witch has so many things still to cross of from her list, ES focus/Wandslinger/MoM/curses.

That last sub-class is going to be a hard "hit or miss" kind of scenario.
Furthermore, elementalist seems to focus on all elementals(duuuuuh), but the witch's passive tree specifically dictates elemental specialization.

Which directly counters the nature of an elementalist.(all rounded focus vs specialized niche investment)

We got these big massive point investment oriented wheels of single elements dictating a single core affinity, not a massive diverse boon to all, like is the case with the templars elemental focus.

Not sure but elementalist in it's current state when placed where it is irks me as somebody that try's to be efficient(with inefficient things).

Marauder focus could also be fire/iron will aligned.

Templar, i reckon should be melee/block/aura oriented as the last one.

Scion, another hit or miss conundrum, so many options feel cheap to me when contemplating and a lot feels OpieOp.

Peace,

I expect... Scion to be released last.

Because GGG are right bastards who want to prolong the painful waiting time for Scion players. :p

(Alternatively because they want to maximize anticipation before the big reveal and minimize the time players have to bitch over their choices for the one class that doesn't get a choice where subclass is concerned before Ascendancy is released.)

Personally I'd find it immensely boring if the Scion's class was "you get to choose from the subclasses of the other characters, because we couldn't come up with something that fit our stated goal* of making her subclass about tree mastery".

Scionic Flametank 3.2: The classic ES-CI-ZO-GR regeneration tank is back in business, stronger than ever before with 50-60% ES/s recovery during most fights due to creative use of regeneration, leech, and recovery mechanics

Last Marauder class is...
Spoiler
Pack Leader

with skills like

" 20% chance to spawn a Spectral wolf on X"

"5% chance to dominate on kill"

"100% more damage on fleeing enemies"
ZiggyD is the Labyrinth of streamers, some like it, some dont, but GGG will make sure to push it down ur throat to make you like it

I downright expect the final Witch Ascendancy to have a way to gain Unholy Might for a brief duration. Unholy Might means "30% of Physical Damage added as Chaos" and would be a fit for both physical wand builds (Elemental wand already has its class) and for physical spells such as Bladefall.

Neither Templar Ascendancy had a melee focus. The final Templar Ascendancy should give melee Templars, especially physical damage melee, some options (Elemental melee may be expected to go Inquisitor).

Final Marauder class will have some kind of Righteous Fire synergy.
