Films You Would Brag to Watch with Someone (for How Awesome and Compelling They Are)

One of the most criminally underrated films ever...

Children of Men

Went and watched it and damn that was good!

TheWretch's suggestion reminded me Cidade de Deus (City of God).

Gomorrah is almost exactly that, only in Italy. They do show some of the older guy's perspectives too which COG didn't do.

Anyway, the guy is gonna get killed eventually for it, def worth a watch. Scorsese even exec produced it to make sure it reached a larger audience. I haven't read it but im sure the book is even more scathing
Don't forget to drink your milk 👌
Just watched this again the other night for the first time in 15 years. Still as raw as I remembered

Deathgasm is a local film that came out last year in New Zealand, and was the winner of the Make My Horror Movie NZ contest... it's surprisingly good for the plot.

Thx for that suggestion, watched the trailer this morning and just bought it. Gonna watch tonight. I had to think of another splatter comedy(or is it about the fatal consequences of prejudice and miscommunication?):

Tucker and Dale vs. Evil (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tucker_%26_Dale_vs._Evil)

This is turning into "Movies you Like". Would you brag about your film knowledge by suggesting TLotR to someone?

LotR is not that mind boggling, pretty much a mainstream trilogy everyone have watched at this point.
This one you're either going to love or hate, there is no grey area. :)

In the beginning there was only man and nature. Men came bearing crosses and drove the heathen to the fringes of the earth.

I was actually thinking of "Valhalla rising" before. But it´s extremely silent and violent, strange combination :-). I love it.
