Not-so-well-known musicians and singers you discovered?

I admit I'm not really very good at keeping up with the music scene, and my taste in music is somewhat erratic and fanned out, but sometimes I discover artists and think: "Why have I never heard of them?!".
Are there musicians, singers or bands that you really enjoy, but that aren't super well known? I'll start: While questing for motivation to improve my tenor ukulele skills, I found an artist named LP. Apparently, she had some successes over a decade ago, then fell off the radar while writing for others, before she re-surfaced a year or so ago. She's one of those artists who instantly resonated with me and that made me wonder why they are not more famous. I love her voice, very expressive. Pretty much anythin with Lauren Babic. Either her covers with Cole, or Andrew Babic or her band Red Handed Denial. Probably the most listened to songs of all my songs on iTunes.

I don't think they're that unknown but most videos of them on youtube have below 10k views. They did a song for Digital Devil Saga.

I'm a big fan of indie Korean music. (ok..some Kpop too)

I still really like Lucid 3 after seeing them at a pub in Christchurch about 14 years ago.

Her music's all over the place, but she has a VERY unique style that I havent found any other songs with a similar feel.
