Any news? Is this mechanic still viable for some build?

After the bug fix, I have the following findings:
1) barrage is still not enough scaled damage for pure physical wanders. Even with 4x volleys, single target is abysmal, and most of the projectiles are wasted, flying off screen.

2) volley fire-enhanced barrage is king for cast on crit. Each volley fire is essentially a free GMP support gem. For cast-on-crit, I highly recommend dual void batteries.
Basically, imagine a dual void battery build with 6 link cast on crit and 4 GMP supports.

That's basically it. The tree is still the same as what I've linked.
The nerf basically was a fix, removing all the extra self-propagating projectiles that trigger off of fork or chain.

Do i have to have mirrored wands or even non mirror its enough ?. Im making phy wanders on Talisman, Im shadow.

I'm a witch and i have 2 void battery in my stash ;), but i'm not good with skill trees.

Well, it depends on what you're gonna do, but basically Witch is not optimal for this kind of build, since it is farer from the 4 dex-jeweled nodes.

As auras I'd use:
3 purity + ??? maybe herald of ice + curse on hit + some curse (double curse?)

Possible Gear:
Tabula Rasa / Voll's 5L (cheap choice)
Voll's 6L (rich choice for DPS)
Rare/Other unique 6L armour (rich choice for survivability)
Rat's Nest (crit + attack speed)
Maligaro's Virtuosity (crit)
Saffel's Frame (max elem resistances)
