My friend needs help

A friend of mine recently tried to get back into poe, he received the logging in from a different location notice, and his account was locked, the problem is the email associated with his account was deleted (a school email address) and hes at a loss, any advice on how to change his email to his new one without having to access the old one?

If he ever linked to Steam, authenticate with the steam client instead. Otherwise he's got to contact the GGG support email, and if possible log in through the forums and PM them too.
