Based on POE wiki, a clean/white jewel can be chanced into 'Corrupted' unique jewel, am I right?

As title has stated. I am figuring this out as the wiki doesn't state the obvious.

"The Corrupted property can have the following effects on a jewel:
Turn into a rare jewel
Turn into a unique corrupted jewel with the same base item (see List of unique jewels received by corruption)
Add an implicit modifier to the jewel
No effect (other than adding the corrupted property)"

Edit: Closest one I'm able to find through search engine is this.

The responses for the question however is lacking acceptable quantity of confirmation.

Afaik you cant use chance orb to get corrupted unqiues, you have to use vaal orb.

"Is there such a thing as an absolute, timeless enemy? There is no such thing, and never has been. And the reason
is that our enemies are human beings like us. They can only be our enemies in relative terms."

This is what I believe at the moment but have been sceptical over recent days when I saw several players buying Viridian jewels at bundle, for say 5 at the price of a chaos.
Taking myself into a bit of research, POE wiki still has no adequate information and forum yield no similiar question.

Thanks for the response but I need a confirmation.

The corrupted modifier may be found in the following circumstances:

Items the player uses a Vaal Orb
Item comes from corrupted strongbox
Corruption Tempest
And some items may be corrupted by design of the respective Divination Card.
